As Global Product Owner your main responsibilities involve managing the go-to-market and product marketing lifecycle, analysing data to make informed decisions, focusing on customer needs, and overseeing product delivery and development. You will need to develop clear go-to-market plans, negotiate product adoption across business units, and manage product rollouts and quarterly plans. Additionally, you will be responsible for pricing strategy, product evaluation strategies, and developing prototypes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop clear go-to-market plans and negotiate product adoption across business units globally
  • Manage product rollouts and quarterly plans and provide guidance for best practices to share
  • Develop or support pricing strategy and execute launch and strategy independently as assigned
  • Drive process and external communication for products that will be sunsetted and plan for migrating customers
  • Support business strategic planning, contribute to sales and business development strategy, and conduct internal trainings
  • Leverage metrics to track progress on customer needs and ensure that product efforts move those metrics
  • Gather, evaluate and have a solid understanding of customer use cases, maintain close contact with customers, and align the team to ensure customer needs are met
  • Understand competitors and regulatory environment, segment markets, and understand the needs of sub-segments in greater detail
  • Have a thorough understanding of the broader product experience and use this knowledge to support the development of comprehensive prototypes
  • Write clear requirements for complex features or products and manage product rollout without direct supervision
  • Partner with Project Manager to develop product vision and roadmap plan aligned with business strategy and communicate across all critical stakeholders
  • Understand and communicate the need to show a return on investment and prepare a P&L for the product
  • Utilize or extend the company's platform and underlying technologies to create new product features
  • Learn about new technologies to support new product development efforts
  • Be comfortable analyzing data using existing software packages and speak knowledgably with tech and data counterparts about development approaches.

You will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to work with external customer-facing teams such as marketing and sales, as well as internal teams such as data and tech. You will also need to be proficient in data analysis and be able to leverage metrics to track progress on customer needs and product performance. You should be comfortable with pulling and accessing data from multiple sources, managing data ambiguity, and setting KPIs, priorities, and dashboards.

Being customer-focused is essential in this role, as you will need to gather and evaluate customer use cases, maintain close contact with customers to gain a sense of where the market is heading, and align the team to ensure customer needs are met. You should also understand competitors and the regulatory environment, segment markets, and understand the needs of sub-segments in greater detail.
