As the industry and world evolves, RX is looking for a Special Events and Content Manager to ensure the shows evolve with it and always delivers the most exciting, anticipated and buzzed about events and content.

The Special Events & Content Manager will be responsible for the successful idea generation, development and implementation of special events, features, activations, experiences, and content/conferences for the entire JCK portfolio (including but not limited to JCK, Luxury by JCK, JCK Pro and all 365 initiatives), as well as coordinating our presence at industry events we sponsor and participate in. The role oversees and helps to inspire unique networking events and activations - both daytime and evenings during the show, as well as brand exposure and awareness-building throughout the year.

Luxury is an upscale invitation only event, bringing together accomplished fine jewelry designers and brands from around the world.  It is a coveted destination by jewelry brands and jewelry retailers.  Luxury’s distinguished buying experience is carefully planned to promote discovery and building of relationships with a curated selection of the jewelry’s finest designers and brands in a stylish setting. Luxury offers networking opportunities and upscale amenities throughout the days while providing the “best place to do business” and forge deeper relationships in a high end, exclusive and secure environment.  

JCK provides the global jewelry trade community the optimal stage for business growth by uniting the industry to buy, sell, network, learn and discover. A one-stop destination with the most diverse selection of professionals and products, JCK is jewelry’s most important global gathering and an industry leading, award winning, trade show industry event.

Key Responsibilities

Special Events:

  • Activations, Experiences and Special Features: On site activation/experiences and special feature area ideation & creation for both JCK and Luxury.  Work with Ops, Sponsorship team and vendors in creating and executing such features/activations and lounges.

  • Industry Events: Manage Luxury & JCK events both on-site and throughout the year such as opening keynote, cocktail events, end of show event with headline entertainment, advisory board meetings and food tastings from concept through to execution.  Main contact for association and partner events on-site and throughout the year, including events we sponsor.

  • Team Events: Create and manage team building and celebratory events throughout the year and on site.

Content & Education:

  • Content & Education: Responsible for content & education at show (JCK Talks & Luxury/JCK Keynotes). Select topics (working in conjunction with industry advisors and Event Leader), secure speakers, manage speaker budgets, hire and contact for MC, negotiate with speakers/agencies, manage RXPH in speaker bio/info collection and create run of show for each day. Manage MC and speakers throughout the process.  Work with Ops on stage set up, AV needs, etc.

  • Industry Trends: Identify industry trends & think out of the box about the industry and how best to deliver relevant and exciting content to drive growth and engagement both in person & digital.

  • Vendors: Manages vendors on creation/production/recording of on-site video content, point of contact for editing team, manage AV/Production/Editing Budget, JCK Pro and other re-purposing for digital content.


  • Communications & Marketing: Collaborate with Marketing on communications plan for special events/features/educational program and schedule for each Show(s) based on strategy. Manage Schedule of Events for print and digital early enough for attendee planning.  Work with Marketing on signage needs for events and education.

  • Budget: Manages budgets for JCK & Luxury for education, events, catering, lounges, staging, décor, speakers & AV working closely with Finance Manager and Event Director.

  • Collaborate with sales team and sponsorship sales team to facilitate selling of sponsorships for experiences, events and activations.

  • Contract Management: Manage contracts and work with Legal for association, speakers, entertainment, and external sponsorship contracts.

  • Show Strategy: Input into annual strategic plan / Event Value Plan

Job Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  • 2+ years special events experience 

  • Travel as required including our shows and association events
