The gifting market is broadly categorised into festive, personal and corporate gifting. Corporate gifting enjoys the lion's share of the market. As per Corporate Gifts Association of India (CGAI) the global gifting market is estimated to be $475 billion. The gifting market in India which is estimated at $40 billion is expected to emerge as one of the most influential contributors by 2024 with a rapid growth in Corporate Gifting space. Corporates and business houses from the sectors like pharmaceutical, lifestyle, tourism, IT, food & confectionery, health & beauty are increasingly opting for gifts as giveaways. Increase in literacy, mushrooming of private schools and other institutions, burgeoning corporate offices, heightened awareness among children, the introduction of premium stationery offerings, new writing instruments, office supplies and other factors all contribute to this growth story. The overall Indian stationery industry is growing at the rate of 8% a year, with new products & formats being added in every now and then. These optimistic changes open up various new opportunities for the industry. Amid this scenario, Giftionery Expo is setting up a business and networking platform for the industry and all set make a new benchmark, in 2020.
