A milestone reached – ALUMINIUM 2026 is 90% sold. A full year ahead of opening, the aluminium industry is backing confidence with a strong commitment to its global meeting point. The upcoming edition, taking place 6 - 8 October 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany, will introduce major additions: a new Hall 7a and a dedicated Sustainability & Recycling Conference.
Organised by RX and supported by sectoral partners Aluminium Deutschland and European Aluminium, ALUMINIUM 2026 is reinforcing its position as the essential meeting point for the global aluminium industry. “The early exhibitor response and enthusiasm have been exceptional,” states Patrick Herman, the new Event Director of ALUMINIUM at RX. “We are excited to host the entire aluminium value chain – from mining and raw material extraction, primary production, value-added processes and finishing through to recycling.”
The event serves industries at the forefront of transformation – from automotive and aerospace pushing lightweighting boundaries, to construction and architecture embracing sustainable materials, through to energy generation, electronics, mechanical engineering, commercial transport, packaging, and beyond. With this unmatched scope, ALUMINIUM 2026 stands as the year's pinnacle event for the sector.
Making the Future Tangible
Amid tariff headwinds and supply chain challenges, opportunity is gaining ground. Aluminium's exceptional recyclability, lightweight strength, and durability make it indispensable for decarbonisation and circular economy strategies. In this environment, bringing the sector together takes on greater urgency than ever.
“Making future solutions visible and tangible is key,” explains Herman. “This is why we offer three days of unmatched business and networking opportunities, surrounded by the latest technical innovations, and supported by an event programme delivering unique insights, opportunities and professional exchange.”
Empowering Decision-Makers
For the 2026 event, ALUMINIUM is introducing significant enhancements designed to further strengthen the visitor experience and address the industry's evolving needs.
New – Hall 7a: This hall focuses on semi-finished products, reflecting the strategic importance of this growing segment. It will also host the popular ALUMINIUM Conference, co-organised with Aluminium Deutschland. The three-day agenda will once again deliver expert sessions, case studies, panel debates, and strategic industry discussions – engaging key players, policymakers, and industry customers.
New – Sustainability & Recycling Conference: Building on its 2024 success, the "Speakers Corner" has been expanded into an independent Sustainability & Recycling Conference, hosted in collaboration with CRU in Hall 6. Aligned with the event's central theme of "Sustainability", the new format will deliver expert insights on circular economy strategies, recycling technologies, and sustainable production practices – responding directly to industry demand for deeper engagement with these critical topics. Also in Hall 6 is the Sustainability & Recycling Plaza, a dedicated exhibition zone for sustainability solutions, complemented by a networking lounge that facilitates continued dialogue and collaboration.
Returning – Themed Pavilions: The themed pavilions remain cornerstones of the event, each offering dedicated spaces for companies to showcase innovations in key industry segments: The Foundry Pavilion provides a platform for foundries, furnace builders, and heat treatment specialists. The Primary Pavilion features the latest equipment and technology in primary aluminium production. The Surface Pavilion focuses on companies in surface treatment and semi-finished products, with emphasis on rolling technology. Both the Surface and Foundry Pavilions include dedicated lounges for relaxed networking with clients and partners.
Inspiring – Industry Awards: Following its successful premiere in 2024, the Women with Metal Awards will once again be presented, honouring outstanding achievements by women in the aluminium industry and promoting visibility and recognition across the sector.
Final Opportunities to Join the Exhibition Floor
ALUMINIUM 2026 is positioned as the defining industry event of the year. The previous edition brought together 819 exhibitors and partners from 54 nations and 20,904 visitors from 100 nations. At 90% sold space, companies considering participation should act quickly.
“Producers, suppliers, buyers – the entire value chain will be at ALUMINIUM,” Herman emphasises. “Missing ALUMINIUM 2026 means missing the year's most significant opportunity to forge critical partnerships and position your company at the forefront of the sector's transformation.”
