São Paulo, May 2, 2023 – The biggest number of participant brands in a larger space to welcome a more visitors, with added attractions and experiences for those attending, and the best results ever in business generated. This was the outcome of Automec, the biggest show in the automotive repair and replacement market, held April 25 to 29, and which has established its place as Latin America's largest B2B business event, the largest auto aftermarket business event in the Americas, and the industry's second largest in the world.
An impressive 1,500 exhibitor brands were at Automec, which had last been held in 2019, a number that is 25% than the last show, introducing the latest in new technologies, products, and services for a market that is moving full speed ahead. Of this total, 450 were international exhibitors, attending from 12 countries, at 7 international pavilions. The show occupied an expanded area of 105,000 sqm, taking up all of the pavilions at the São Paulo Expo as well as outdoor area.
Over 90,000 unique visitors were in attendance (20% more than the last show). With a 30% return rate, a total of 117,000 visitors attended from every region in Brazil and 60 other countries.
With companies showing a variety of new products and services to the market and consolidating its B2B business concept, Automec held sever business talks that had a huge impact on the show's bottom line. Total potential business volume stated by visitors reached a record BRL 29.5 billion (BRL 4.5 billion more than expected)
“Automec 2023 was the biggest ever and showed Brazil's strength on the global events stage and in the auto aftermarket sector. This edition established it as Latin America's largest B2B business event, the largest auto aftermarket business event in the Americas, and the industry's second largest in the world," says Luiz Bellini, RX Portfolio Director.
The show offered attendees over 100 hours of content at the Automec Experience on the most relevant topics in the industry. The program included opportunities for industry professionals to find out the latest technical information in spaces dedicated to the Batistinha Experience, one of the biggest references in customization in Brazil, as well as Senai/IQA and Delphi Experience.
“In addition to this wide-ranging program, the biggest new thing at Automec was without question the thrilling Garage Show Ultimate Drift, which moved visitors to the show's outdoor area and showed the potential of visitors' passion and the demand for automotive events,” said Eduardo Marchetti, Automec Manager. “This edition of Automec was worth two,” the executive said in closing.
The show had a digital reach of 4.2 million people, four times more than the last show.
