About the Job
The person will be responsible for collecting, processing, and supporting the management of information in the exhibitor and visitor database. Analyzing data needs and delivering information. Verifying reporting and dashboard requirements in the BI tool and proposing solutions to deliver more value to the company with the collected data. Involvement in projects related to databases, BI tools, and data privacy.
Activities related to databases
Extract databases and create reports from SQL Server database.
Analyze and propose processes and strategies related to databases for business development.
Evaluate the necessity versus benefits of the data we collect from different sources and bring into our database.
Evaluate the needs and processes always from the perspective of data privacy, using the concept of Privacy by Design and the actual need for each piece of data we use.
Analyze and define the necessary database to meet the event audience plan and visitor profile for the creation of communications for current trade shows.
Periodically monitor the Data Quality Index, suggesting actions, activities, and taking steps to improve the index.
Identify the needs for data processing, acquisition, and enrichment of databases.
Monitor the performance of databases made available to marketing and sales, identifying and proposing solutions for issues and improvements.
Support the Assistant in operational activities related to the exhibitor database and uploading external lists into Salesforce.
Support and execute tasks related to data privacy issues.
Manage the visitor database (VEP) according to the following steps: Perform necessary business configurations; guide teams regarding the data required to reach the target audience; Analyze, approve, support, and reject segmentations.
Evaluate with the responsible areas and make data available for the preparation of post-show report, strategic planning, annual budget and revisions and Lead generation for clients.
Activities related to Business Intelligence
Verify reporting and dashboard needs in the BI tool and propose solutions to deliver more value to the company with the collected data.
Create reports in the BI tool or request from the IT team, according to the demands of the company's projects and processes.
Extract and analyze managerial, quantitative, and qualitative reports to track processes for the involved departments, using BI and ETL tools.
Periodically monitor the available dashboards and reports, requesting or making improvements and correcting errors based on user requests and tickets.
Support in tool management (BI, VEP, Orchestrator)
Monitor the proper functioning of the database and platforms related to visitors daily, and notify the responsible parties in case of issues.
Perform necessary system configurations and check if updates are required.
Monitor the operation of the tools and availability of data and information during events.
Train and guide teams on the use of BI and VEP platforms as users.
Act as an intermediary between the Marketing and IT departments regarding platform issues.
Support and Development of Projects
Support the development and execution of projects related to databases and BI tools.
Support the development and execution of projects related to data privacy.
Report Generation
Generate reports on demand, especially for information not available in the BI tool dashboards.
Create specific segmentations on demand, extracting lists when necessary.
Support in Team Development
Support the Coordinator and Manager in the development of Assistants and Interns, training them on activities, monitoring their performance, and assisting in evaluation and professional development.
Contacts
External relations (suppliers and third parties).
Internal local relations (Marketing, Procurement, Sales, Operations, IT, Finance, HR, and Portfolios).
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Administration, Marketing, or related areas.
Languages:
Technical or Intermediate English.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in databases related to business intelligence, marketing, advertising, administration, or related areas.
Experience in analysis, reporting, and presenting results.
Experience in creating and using dashboards in Power BI.
Technical Knowledge:
Solid knowledge in data and information analysis and management, project management.
Knowledge in database analysis, SQL language, and creating dashboards in Power BI.
Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate/Advanced Excel, PowerPoint).
Desired knowledge of ETL systems.
Desired knowledge in data mining and data quality tools and activities.
