New leadership announced: IGTM welcomes Fiona Ashton as Event Manager

London, 20 March 2025 – International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) announces the appointment of Fiona Ashton as its new Event Manager. Fiona, an accomplished events professional with over 13 years of experience at RX Global, will oversee the operational planning and execution of IGTM, the premier event in the global golf tourism industry. The 2025 edition will be held at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes from 20th to 23rd October.

Fiona brings a wealth of expertise in event management, most recently as Event Manager for Inter Airport Europe. Prior to that, she held the role of Marketing Manager for both Arabian Travel Market (ATM) and World Travel Market (WTM) London. With extensive knowledge of the travel sector, Fiona has been with RX for 13 years, and in the first three years of her tenure, she worked on IGTM events in the Algarve, Spain and Lake Como.

Commenting on her appointment, Fiona said: “With the golf tourism industry growing at a remarkable pace, I am excited to be joining the IGTM team once again. I look forward to reconnecting with the global golf travel community in Cannes and contributing to the event’s further expansion.”

Fiona’s appointment follows the successful conclusion of the most recent IGTM event in Lisbon. The 2025 event will bring together golf travel professionals, including golf destinations, resorts, and courses, with leading golf travel agents and tour operators, facilitating pre-scheduled meetings for business growth, as well as providing an invaluable platform for networking.

IGTM’s former Event Director, David Griffiths, continues to play an integral role within the IGTM team as Head of Sales across the Hosted Travel Portfolio of events, working alongside Sales Manager Callum Forbes.
