NORWALK, CT, September 7, 2023 - ReedPop, the world’s leading producer of pop culture events, today unveiled a new event for comic industry professionals taking place during New York Comic Con (NYCC) – the ReedPop Industry Summit @ NYCC. The summit was developed to offer both budding and established professionals the opportunity to connect with each other and hear from others in their industry. NYCC is taking place at the Javits Center in New York City on October 12-15, 2023.  

Sponsored by Comic Sketch Art, the ReedPop Industry Summit offers a mixer for professionals attending New York Comic Con to engage with each other, in addition to a keynote featuring three speakers. The keynote speakers include Katie Pryde, Owner of Portland, OR bookstore Books With Pictures; Tom Taylor, comic book creator (Titans, Superman: Son of Kal-El, Nightwing); and a special keynote by Marie Javins, Editor-in-chief of DC. The Summit will be hosted by marketer, producer, and host Jazzlyn Stone. 

The ReedPop Industry Summit @ NYCC will be held on Thursday, October 12 in the River Pavilion at the Javits Center from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM with the keynote speakers taking the stage at 8:15 PM. The event is open to industry professionals with Artist Alley, Professional, Panelist, Exhibitor, and Press badge types. Food and beverages will be served.

Each year, NYCC brings together the biggest names in pop culture, the world’s top comic creators, and thousands of fans to celebrate the fandoms they love. The biggest special guests, publishers, cosplayers, and more will take the stage throughout the weekend for panels covering a vast range of topics, offering something for every fan to enjoy.  Tickets are now on sale to the general public for New York Comic Con 2023 and Professional badge registration is open through Monday, September 25.
