Rotterdam, Netherlands – The Sustainable Energy Council (SEC) and RX Global are pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the World Hydrogen 2026 Awards, honoring the individuals, projects and companies at the forefront of global hydrogen innovation and deployment.
The winners will be announced on 19th May 2025 at the World Hydrogen 2026 Awards Ceremony, taking place at Rotterdam Ahoy as part of the World Hydrogen 2026 Summit & Exhibition. The Summit & Exhibition is organised by the Sustainable Energy Council and RX Global, in partnership with the Dutch Government, the Province of Zuid-Holland, the City of Rotterdam, and the Port of Rotterdam.
This year, the Awards will feature 7 categories, celebrating the outstanding contributions of leaders working across the hydrogen value chain. Through technological innovation, large-scale partnerships, investment leadership and commercial deployment, the nominees will represent those who are accelerating the transition to a net-zero global energy system.
“The World Hydrogen Awards honour the pioneers who are transforming hydrogen from ambition into reality,” said Chris Hugall, Event Director, SEC & RX. “As momentum builds worldwide, we are proud to recognize the people and projects demonstrating real-world progress toward industrial decarbonisation and energy resilience.”
The Awards Judging Panel – made up of the SEC Hydrogen Advisory Board – will review and evaluate all nominations according to this year’s judging criteria to determine the official shortlist.
For the second consecutive year, the global hydrogen community is invited to participate directly in determining the ultimate winners. Following the announcement of the shortlist, public voting will be open from 11th March to 1st April 2026 via the World Hydrogen Awards website.
