RX Aviation & Space:
Where innovation takes flight
Published on 4 November 2025 | More stories
From airports to orbit, RX events are powering the future of flight, connecting technology, innovation, and opportunity across every corner of the aviation and space industries. We’re not just showcasing what’s next, we’re helping to build it. From smarter terminals and greener operations to inclusive passenger experiences and booming new markets, RX is creating the runways and the launchpads for global progress.
The future of aviation starts here
With airport tech investment soaring toward US$55.8 billion by 2035, RX’s expanding global aviation portfolio is the meeting place for a rapidly transforming industry.
The Airport Show in Dubai is helping power the MEASA region’s fast-paced aviation growth. With Al Maktoum International set to handle 260 million passengers annually under Dubai’s D33 Economic Agenda, the region is investing heavily in smart, sustainable airport infrastructure. At the show, zones like the Airport Tech Pavilion and GSE Zone showcased innovations ̶ from AI security and biometric screening to electric vehicles and renewable energy ̶ highlighting how technology is shaping airports into global hubs for trade, tourism, and connectivity.
Momentum carried through to Munich at inter airport Europe where over 400 exhibitors from 100+ countries showcased next-gen airport operations – including 75 companies who used the platform to launch new products. In the accompanying seminar programme 40 expert speakers, including representatives from Riga, Royal Schiphol and CPK Poland, shared project insights on infrastructure upgrades, new technology adoption and passenger experience enhancement. And the Innovation Awards highlighted real breakthroughs from AI baggage checks to solar-powered airfield lighting and remote-controlled boarding bridges, sparking collaborations and future partnerships.
Next stop: Hamburg, where Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) celebrates its 25th anniversary from 14-16 April 2026. With 90% of space already sold, AIX will debut a BizJet Interiors Zone and welcome the biggest names in the business from Collins Aerospace and Safran to Boeing and Panasonic Avionics for three days of inspiration, craftsmanship, and connection.
Designing for everyone
As global air travel heads toward 10 billion passengers annually, RX is helping make the journey inclusive for all.
At the Passenger Experience Conference ahead of AIX 2025, Jo Rowan of PriestmanGoode set the tone with a call to “Design with Empathy.” Her vision reimagines aircraft cabins to offer dignity and confidence to all passengers, especially those with disabilities. Joined by experts from WheelchairTravel.org, Collins Aerospace, and Airbus, the panel explored breakthroughs in onboard wheelchair access and inclusive aircraft design.
In Munich, inter airport Europe 2025 partnered with UK charity Aerobility, celebrating their mission to empower people with disabilities through flight, and shared insights from the Equal Skies Charter which promotes inclusion through smart tech, physical adaptations, and inclusive workforce training.
WTCE (World Travel Catering and Onboard Services Expo) 2025 put accessibility in the spotlight in Hamburg where 55+ global experts discussed everything from tailored in-flight meals and wellness services to inclusive digital systems.
And the growing role of women in redefining the future of flight was celebrated in Dubai at the Women in Aviation Middle East conference, and at AIX’s Harmony in Leadership luncheon powered by Viasa.
SPEXA: Japan’s gateway to the space economy
While RX is transforming aviation, it’s also helping reshape the space industry. Once dominated by government agencies and legacy players, space is now being redefined by private companies, emerging technologies, and a global surge in commercial activity.
At the heart of this evolution is SPEXA – the Space Business Expo, launched by RX in 2024 and already making waves as Japan’s largest space business exhibition. Its mission ̶ “Extraordinary encounters make space business part of everyday life” ̶ captures the essence of collaboration and innovation at its core.
The 2025 edition at Tokyo Big Sight doubled in size to nearly 200 exhibitors, bringing together startups, investors, and research leaders. With support from JAXA and Kyushu Institute of Technology, SPEXA is more than a showcase - it’s a launchpad for partnerships that are shaping the global space economy.
Looking ahead to 2026, SPEXA will grow even further, connecting the people, technologies, and ideas that are propelling us into the next era of space commerce.
Inter Aviation Arabia: ready for take-off
With one of the fastest-growing aviation markets in the world, Saudi Arabia is ready for take-off. Backed by a $100 billion investment and targeting 330 million passengers a year by 2030, the Kingdom’s aviation ambitions are sky-high.
To power this transformation, RX is launching Inter Aviation Arabia (29 Sept – 1 Oct 2026, check out the website) in Riyadh ̶ a landmark event driving collaboration across airport investment, infrastructure, sustainability, and airline route development.
Under the theme “Driving Aviation Transformation for Vision 2030 and Beyond,” Inter Aviation Arabia will unite global aviation leaders, innovators, and investors to unlock the opportunities shaping the Middle East’s future of flight.
“Inter Aviation Arabia will be the go-to event for aviation stakeholders looking to be part of Saudi Arabia’s transformation,” said Vasyl Zhygalo, RX Managing Director, Middle East. “From smart infrastructure to pioneering passenger solutions, it’s a clear runway for growth.”
