Hugh Jones honoured as industry trailblazer

At the 2025 Exhibition News Awards in London, RX CEO Hugh Jones was celebrated for his visionary leadership and transformative impact on the events industry. Known for championing innovation and collaboration, Hugh received a warm and heartfelt reception from peers across the sector. “Recognition like this is never about one individual,” he said. “It’s about the incredible people at RX who push boundaries, take risks, and show up every day to make these events world-class.”

RX wins UFI award for inclusion

RX proudly took home the 2025 UFI Sustainable Development Award for “Best Inclusion Initiative,” standing out from a global field for our Guide to Inclusive Events. The jury called it “an inspiring and replicable tool” that embeds inclusion into strategy and action. “This award is a powerful reminder that inclusion isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s what makes our industry stronger and more connected,” said Ray Rhodes, Head of Inclusion and Diversity.

RX Greater China – a regional powerhouse

RX Greater China kicked off the year with a wave of awards. In Shenzhen, RX Huabo and RX (Shenzhen) both won the 2024 ‘Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Leading Enterprise Award’, while China (Shenzhen) International Gifts Exhibition, NEPCON ASIA, and the Electronics Sourcing Show earned Excellent Exhibition Project Awards. In Shanghai, eight RX exhibitions  ̶  including CMEF, Bakery China, and PHARMCHINA  ̶  were honoured for their scale, innovation, and international reach.

Hannah Potter – a ‘Rising Star’

While relaxing at Disneyland Paris, Hannah Potter, Account Manager for MCM Comic Con (London and Birmingham) got the surprise of a lifetime  ̶  her team Face Timed her from the EN (Exhibition News) Awards to announce she had won Best Newcomer! “As if that wasn’t surreal enough, Dick & Dom popped up on my screen to present the award!” she laughed. “Working on Comic Con is bizarre, brilliant, and full of joy—and I’m lucky to be part of such a talented, hilarious team.”

RX Africa ROARS with pride

RX Africa stole the spotlight at the 2025 AAXO ROAR Awards, scooping up 12 accolades at the Johannesburg Expo Centre. From sustainability to social media, standout wins included Fame Week Africa, Comic Con, ILTM, WTM, and Decorex. Managing Director Carol Weaving also received the Godfrey King Integrity Award, recognising her innovation and impact across the African events landscape.

Solana Dove named ‘Woman to Watch’

Solana Dove, Director of Global Sponsorships at ReedPop, has been named a ‘Woman to Watch’ by Trade Show Executive. Known for her passion for experiential marketing and unforgettable fan experiences, Solana accepted her award at the TSE Gold 100 Gala in Palm Springs. Her creativity and leadership continue to shape ReedPop’s joyful approach to fan events.
