From Snoop Dogg and Jason Derulo at JCK Rocks to business tips with Daymond John of ABC's Shark Tank  ̶  the calibre of celebrity status at JCK Las Vegas was next level. Daymond John kicked of the JCK Talks Keynote session with his ‘5 Shark Points to Success”, setting an ambitious tone for the days of business and innovation ahead. The exclusive industry party, JCK Rocks, exceeded all expectations this year with the two global icons delivering hit after including their collab song, ‘Wiggle’. It was a moment where business met nightlife, and the JCK community came together to dance, connect, and celebrate the culmination of a very successful event.

Ryan Gosling wows Star Wars Celebration fans

The Force was strong at Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Tokyo (April 18-20), where actor Ryan Gosling took to the stage in a surprise appearance with Star Wars: Starfighter Director, Shawn Levy. Together, the two revealed the rumours were true – Gosling had landed the leading role in the new standalone Star Wars film, slated for release in May 2027.  Attracting over 105,000 fans from 125 countries, this year’s Celebration not only broke international attendance records but it also became the fastest Star Wars Celebration to sell out  ̶  a true testament to the enduring global love for the galaxy far, far away. The fan convention returns to the United States in 2027, taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from 1-4 April.

Happy Birthday Giorgia Meloni

Amid the high-powered diplomacy and deal making at the World Future Energy Summit 2025, held in Abu Dhabi in January, one moment stole the spotlight  ̶  and it wasn’t the 13 heads of state or the 140+ ministers and government officials, nor was it on the official agenda. On the second day, fresh from signing a landmark three-way renewable energy pact with Italy and the UAE, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama stepped away from policy talk to deliver a personal surprise to his Italian counterpart, Giorgia Meloni. Marking her 48th birthday, Rama presented her with a hand-crafted scarf from an Italian living in Albania, then, to the delight of the audience, broke into a heartfelt rendition of Tanti Auguri  ̶  “Happy Birthday” in Italian!

Beckham scores at MIP London 

Football legend, global icon, all-around style guru, and recently knighted Sir David Beckham packed out the main stage at the inaugural MIP London in March, bringing star power and a touch of Beckham charm to the event’s debut in the UK capital. In a headline conversation with Netflix’s Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria, Beckham didn’t disappoint. Talking an audience of hundreds through his Hugo Boss ad training routine, his favourite TV dramas and thoughts on the future of his Studio 99 banner, he proved he’s as influential behind the camera as he was on the pitch.

Tennant teases new project at MCM Comic Con

David Tennant, best known for his iconic role as the Tenth Doctor in Doctor Who, drew massive crowds at MCM Comic Con London in May as he took to the main stage for a spotlight panel filled with wit, charm, and behind-the-scenes stories that had fans hanging on every word. The actor covered a wide range of topics, from his time on Doctor Who to discussing which superheroes (and super-villains) he would love to have a chance to portray. In a teasing comment the actor said if everything went to plan there may be a “wee announcement” in a year or so to that would answer the question! MCM London returns 24-26 October at ExCel and 28-30 November at Birmingham NEC.  

Mayor of London woos investors at MIPIM

Mayor of London, Sir Sadiq Khan made a big impression during his first-ever appearance at  MIPIM, the Global Urban Festival, held in Cannes in March. Kicking off the dedicated Housing Matters! Conference, Khan shared insights on how the public and private sectors can join forces to tackle the housing crisis, before joining the impressive London Stand at MIPIM to bang the drum for the capital. Speaking to City AM, Khan said the event had been “fantastic” adding: “In the past 24 hours I’ve probably met more investors – from America, Canada, Japan, the Far East, the Middle East, France, continental Europe – than I have in six months, because they’re all here”.

Power players rally fans at PGA Show

Baseball legend Derek “The Captain” Jeter brought serious star power to the 2025 PGA Show in Orlando in January, representing his premium athletic apparel brand, Greatness Wins, alongside co-founder Chris Riccobono. The pair met attendees, shared their vision, and unveiled their latest collection. The show also welcomed famed CBS sportscaster Jim Nantz and golfing greats Matt Fitzpatrick, Lexi Thompson, Kyle Berkshire, and Brooke Henderson, whose appearances—from long-drive showcases to meet-and-greets—kept the energy high and engaged PGA Professionals and buyers across the show floor and Demo Day. Small wonder the event was its largest in over 15 years!

Iconic Breakfast Club cast reunite at C2E2

The original cast of The Breakfast Club reunited at C2E2 (Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo) for the first time since the teen movie was released in 1985, bringing a wave of nostalgia to the city. Emilio Estévez, Anthony Michael Hall, Ally Sheedy, Molly Ringwald, and Judd Nelson took the stage for a chat moderated by Josh Horowitz to reminisce about their iconic film. Fans packed the room as the cast shared stories about their time filming under director John Hughes. Estévez, who had skipped previous reunions, finally decided to join in for this milestone event, telling the Chicago Sun Times, “It’s here in Chicago and it’s the 40th anniversary, and it just felt like it was time.”

Stars man the bar at BCB Brooklyn

This year’s Bar Convent Brooklyn showcased a vibrant blend of industry and entertainment in the Courtyard Bar, where top brands and bar talent, like Ja Rule (rapper, entrepreneur and co-founder of Amber & Opal Honey Botanical Whiskey), Dolph Lundgren (actor, filmmaker and co-founder of Hard Cut Vodka), Carl Radke (reality tv personality and owner of Soft Bar) and Ian Somerhalder (actor and co-founder of Brother’s Bond Bourbon), took over the area, delivering unforgettable pouring and cocktail experiences. Adding to the enjoyment, Cirque de BCB Brooklyn transformed the event into a carnival-style celebration—with balloon artists, tarot readers, face painting and a magician.

Jay Cutler & Derek Lunsford Posedown at FIBO

At FIBO 2025, bodybuilding legends Jay Cutler and Derek Lunsford lit up the expo floor in Cologne with their larger-than-life presence and Posedown. Fans gathered in droves for selfies, autographs, and inspiring words, soaking up their energy. Ramping up the bodybuilding power and volume, FIBO also brought together over 40 top tier competitors from around the world for the first FIBO Pro Championship on April 12, with the winners automatically qualifying for Mr Olympia.
