About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and relationship-driven Relationship Executive to support our Buyer Programme. In this role, you will recruit and engage qualified buyers and trade delegations, manage buyer relationships, and facilitate business matchmaking between buyers and exhibitors to ensure a successful event experience for all stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Buyer Recruitment & Engagement
- Identify, recruit, and engage qualified buyers who meet the sourcing objectives of assigned exhibitions.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of buyers through research, industry databases, referrals, associations, LinkedIn, and direct outreach.
- Qualify buyers based on purchasing authority, sourcing interests, and business relevance.
- Manage buyer invitations, registrations, confirmations, attendance, and post-event follow-up.
- Develop long-term relationships with buyers to encourage repeat participation across future events.
Delegation Management
- Recruit and coordinate local and international trade delegations, government agencies, industry associations, and business groups.
- Build strong partnerships with delegation leaders and industry organisations.
- Coordinate delegation participation and ensure a positive experience throughout the event.
Business Matchmaking
- Coordinate business meetings between buyers and exhibitors.
- Understand buyers' sourcing requirements.
- Work closely with exhibitors to maximise the quality and effectiveness of business meetings.
- Monitor meeting schedules and ensure a seamless matchmaking experience before and during the exhibition.
Event Delivery
- Prepare invoices and monitor payment status when required.
- Provide administrative support for the assigned shows.
- Support onsite buyer registration, hosted buyer programmes, VIP hospitality, business matchmaking activities and adhoc duties.
- Analyse outcome and suggest buyer retention initiatives.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Events Management, Hospitality, Communications, or a related discipline.
- 1–2 years of experience in customer relationship management, events, exhibitions, hospitality, account management, sales support, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with business professionals from diverse industries.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Customer-focused, proactive, and solutions-oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to pick up on internal CRM system
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and supporting events outside regular office hours when required.
