ILTM North America moves, grows and confirms its positions as the leading luxury travel event in the region.

Taking place for the first time in its new home of Baha Mar in the Bahamas this week, ILTM North America has grown 15% year on year with 475 buyers joining from 200 cities across the USA, Canada and Mexico, 72% of whom were new to the event. 

They were joined by 475 exhibitors from 65 countries, 103 of which were also new to the event. In total, over 26,000 one-to-one pre-scheduled appointments took place across the 3 day event with many parties, dinners and networking events held across Baha Mar Resort and beyond throughout the week.

Both agents and exhibitors were impressed, not only with the show’s new location but the quality of the appointment times, as well as the advisors themselves proving to be a common theme.

Josh Bush, Avenue Two Travel commented: ILTM North America is defined by the excellence of the suppliers the amount of business that’s actually confirmed here in comparison to other shows is phenomenal. The meeting time that everyone has to talk lends itself to the quality and depth of these appointments and also allows us to foster true relationships.”

Carlos Melia, Luxury Travel Curators said: “ILTM is much more intimate here in the Bahamas, so the networking is so much easier. As always, I’ve met many new hotels and new destinations and I’m so excited about building relationships with them all.”

Mario del Duca, Latin America’s NUBA added: “This has been a very fruitful week in a very relaxed environment. ILTM North America is a great opportunity to connect with old friends, as well as establish new relationships – the meetings are of an incredible high quality, and we have also closed some very exciting new agreements.” 

Amaris Garcia, Ensemble Travel commented: “This is my first time since 2019 and it’s an honour to be here – my appointments have all been so on point and the opportunity to reconnect has been a real highlight.”

And Haisley Smith of Internova Travel Group concluded: “ILTM North America was a fabulous collection of partners, experiences, and connections. I cannot wait to return next year, although I don’t know how the team can top 2023!”

The exhibitors too were enthusiastic in their praise. Amanda Weiss, Hyatt Hotels Luxury and Lifestyle, commented: “This week has been an incredible opportunity to position some of our softer luxury and lifestyle brands, as well as share news on many of the more established. The Hyatt team were excited to welcome so many agents who’d never experienced our property here in Baha Mar and we’re looking forward to elevating our presence for ILTM North America 2024.”

We’ve met advisors from primary, secondary, and tertiary markets that we would never have had the chance to connect with if we hadn’t been here this week and we’re looking forward to growing our presence further here next year.”

And Gioia Wurth, Resort Valle dell’Erica said: “This is my first ILTM and I’ve met some incredible decision makers and super high-end media across our target markets in North America. We have leveraged some really wonderful opportunities already and will definitely be back for more next year.
