To celebrate International Women’s Day, we connected with inspiring RXers from around the world to hear how they are driving real change and working to #AccelerateAction toward gender equality. They also shared how RX empowers them to thrive as successful women in events, breaking barriers and shaping the future of the industry.

Technical Director, France 

Working for a company that champions inclusion and diversity is a source of great pride for me. As a Technical Director for the prestigious events we organize, my commitment is strengthened by the knowledge that these values are deeply rooted in RX culture. I am also the President of Women Connected, RX France’s Employee Resource Group (ERG) dedicated to gender equality, which we founded three years ago alongside a team of passionate colleagues. Through awareness campaigns, training sessions, discussion groups, and initiatives to combat everyday sexism, we strive to create real change. The unwavering support from both RX France and RX Global leadership is crucial, as it gives us the freedom and resources to take meaningful action. RX empowers me to thrive in the events industry, ensuring that women’s voices are heard, valued, and supported.

RX empowers women to be successful by the type of talent it attracts. The women I work with are not just incredibly intelligent and skilful, they are also women who are committed to supporting other women. I’m lifted up by the women around me who both inspire and challenge me. I’m grateful for this dynamic. We even have a female CFO! What’s more is that we have access to women-centric ERGs – hello Menopause! – that tackle important topics and offer support. I’ve even mentioned this ERG to friends because it’s such a forward-thinking group for a corporate organization to support.

During my 11 year career with RELX, my time with RX has been the most fulfilling. Our organization operates in an exciting industry with a clear purpose: building businesses. It’s incredibly rewarding to be empowered to lead my growing team in contributing to this shared purpose. I've grown immensely in this role, thanks to the trust and confidence of my leaders and mentors. As RX continues to pursue ambitious goals not only in terms of growth, but with increased intentionality to do things better through sustainability and inclusivity, I am inspired to challenge myself further. After all, excellence is a responsibility to those we serve and lead, and to the organization we are part of. Being given the opportunity to lead is a privilege that deserves our best efforts. Being a woman at RX means joining a community that inspires, challenges, and celebrates every achievement. RX work culture and values are built on diversity, collaboration, and mutual support. This has allowed me freedom to express myself, share my ideas, develop my skills, and make the jump from Hosted Buyer programme manager for IBTM Americas to Digital Marketing Manager for RX Mexico. But it has also given me the opportunity to lead the ERG for our RX Mexico office, creating a space of community, support and growth for the RX Mexico family where we promote diversity, development and inclusion. RX is a place where your passion for events transforms into a success story. Because in RX, you don't just create events; you create the path to the future you want.

I am a dynamic, proactive leader with resilience, a vital trait in our industry. My goal is to confidently share diverse perspectives and inspire trust and confidence within my team and across our network. I believe that problems are rarely solved in isolation, and great ideas can emerge from anyone, anywhere. By fostering an environment of collaboration and openness, we can achieve remarkable outcomes together.

The theme for this year "Accelerating Action" is a very fitting description of how RX empowers me to be a successful woman in events. First, RX culture provides an environment where diversity and authenticity are encouraged and embraced. This encourages women like me to take risks and drive impact both personally and professionally while also setting a good example for other women to follow. As a leader, I make it a point to create the same environment and advocate for other women especially those who are looking to build a career in sales. By helping them take on challenges, embrace discomfort and build confidence, their impact is multiplied across the business. The collaboration at RX is also critical to foster learning and expansion of knowledge for women in the field. I am constantly looking for resources and training opportunities to enable other women to grow and thrive.
