Reed Exhibition employees working from home now have access to virtual mindfulness sessions, workouts and a rapidly growing online support community.
With most RX Global’ employees now working from home, and in some cases confined to it, it is really important that we all look after our physical and mental health. So it is heart-warming to see how Reed Exhibition’s UK Wellness team has not only moved its classes online, but opened them up to their RELX colleagues worldwide.
The Wellbeing program includes twice weekly lunchtime Stretch and Meditation sessions, the first of which was attended by over 105 people! The RX Wellbeing team, led by Samantha Massey, has also joined forces with colleagues at Elsevier who have opened the doors to their live, daily Mindfulness sessions delivered via Zoom. There are also Japanese and Portuguese language lessons, with the promise of yoga soon, and more to come.
“Our remote Wellness sessions are designed to keep us all focused, active and engaged whilst working from home, but also to help maintain those all-important personal connections” says Samantha. “Homeworking can be very isolating. It can also be stressful trying to juggle work commitments with managing the needs of family who are also now confined to home.”
The UK team has launched a new Wellness website, bringing together all their offerings in one place. Utilising Microsoft Teams, they have also established an active MS Teams Wellbeing community who share ideas, support and resources across a number of different channels including families, fitness, ‘daily smile’ and working from home. All RX Global employees are welcome to join.
“We already have 119 members of the MS Teams Wellbeing group, including colleagues from Manila, Mexico, Singapore and Milan!” says Samantha. “I’d like to thank the UK Wellbeing team for their amazing efforts, and also say a special thank you to those colleagues who have given up their time to host a session, including our first cooking demo. We hope it will be the first of many!
