The trade show attained the mark of approximately BRL 8.3 billion in new business and, once again, positions Brazil as a protagonist in bioenergy

Sertãozinho, August 2023 - The 29th Fenasucro & Agrocana underscored the optimistic scenario and Brazil's leading role in bioenergy and the global energy transition. Proof of this was the business generated over the 4 days of the event, which amounted to BRL 8.3 billion, according to a study carried out by CEISE Br with exhibitors, which is equivalent to approximately 60% growth compared to last year's edition.

With regard to visitors, expectations were also met. In 2023, Fenasucro & Agrocana saw an increase in the qualification of the visiting public, with 60% of visitors indicating purchasing decision power. Another highlight was the generation of leads for exhibitors, the highest ever, with a growth of 105% compared to 2022.

“All expectations for the 2023 edition were exceeded. We received more than 53 countries at this year's event, showing that Brazil is a protagonist in the bioenergy sector and a leader in the global energy transition. In addition, we increased the NPS of exhibitors by 15pp, which demonstrates the importance of the event for our clients, an index reinforced by the high renewal rate that we had during this year's event for the 2024 edition," emphasizes the director of the trade show, Paulo Montabone.

According to the president of CEISE Br, Rosana Amadeu Silva, the 29th edition of the event made history and was an absolute success. “Over four days, we planted seeds for a more sustainable future for our country and the world. The trade show created opportunities, marked by the energy transition, with the presentation of numerous technological innovations, generating new business and possibilities for new commercial partnerships,” says Rosana, the first woman president of CEISE Br in its more than 40 years of history.

International business roundtables

In addition, the international business roundtables - organized by Apla (Local Ethanol Production Organization) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), under the Brazil Sugarcane Bioenergy Solution Project - brought together more than 62 Brazilian companies to share their innovations with 24 buyers from Argentina, Colombia, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, India and Peru in approximately 640 meetings. This resulted in an expectation of new business of approximately USD 55 million, in deals that will be closed in the following 12 months.

Good business

Exhibitors also commemorated the good results of the 29th Fenasucro & Agrocana. For Cristiane Câmara Braz, the director of marketing and sales at Zanini Renk, the company's participation at the trade show was a success. “Fenasucro & Agrocana attracted important suppliers from the sugar and alcohol sector and everyone came to visit our stand. It was a very good year, with big business deals, such as the sale of three Torqmax, which represents approximately BRL 10 million,” she celebrated.

Carla Luz, from the commercial/marketing department at Fundição Moreno, also praised the event. “We were very pleased with this year's edition. We received a lot of customers, including exporters,” she emphasized.

HPB, a company that plays a strategic role in terms of technological innovation in the sector, highlighted the visibility of Fenasucro & Agrocana and its enormous potential to foster business.

“The company has been present at the trade show for many years. We were able to access a significant number of people to disseminate our projects and technologies in a short period of time. We were satisfied with the operation we set up for this edition. The experience was excellent and we intend to be here for the next ones,” said the commercial manager at HPB, Marco Zanato.

30th edition

In 2024, the 30th edition of Fenasucro & Agrocana will be held from August 13 to 16 in Sertãozinho/SP. “We are preparing a historic edition, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the trade show, which is the largest in the world in bioenergy. Thus, we invite everyone to be part of this moment and take all the technology that we have available here in Brazil to improve scalability and global sales, in addition to introducing biofuels on planet Earth as a great commodity,” concludes Montabone.
