Our Leadership Team
Hugh Jones
Chief Executive Officer
My goal is to create a work environment that helps everybody to find a fulfilling purpose, have fun, be pushed, be accountable and succeed. A place where people feel safe to truly express themselves and have the courage to make the big bets, but also to acknowledge and learn from bets that falter and not be discouraged to try again.
Hugh’s philosophy in life? Every executive has to place bets in order for the value propositions to remain relevant to the customers, but not every bet has to work. That philosophy has served him well over the years since joining RELX in 2011, following the purchase of Accuity where he was Chief Executive Officer. In addition to leading Accuity to become one of the world’s largest and most significant companies in the payment routing and Anti Money Laundering sectors, he has also led Fircosoft, NRS, I.C.I.S, Estates Gazette (EG) and Cirium; and before joining RX he was Global Managing Director within the Risk and Business Analytics Division. Hugh’s philosophy has seen him lead large scale acquisitions and subsequent integrations of many companies that now reside and prosper within the RELX portfolio. Hugh joined RX as CEO at the start of 2020 bringing with him plenty of experience in public company protocol and all facets of business management including P&L oversight, talent development, forecasting, sales execution, technology innovation and product discovery, launch and growth. Hugh’s experience has been invaluable in navigating RX’s response to challenges and his strategic understanding of technological innovation has accelerated the use of digital and data products and services across RX events, as an ongoing core component of RX face to face events. Passionate about building a culture of collaboration, exploring, risk taking, accountability and courage, Hugh champions the creation of a psychologically safe and inclusive work place for all.

General Counsel
You can’t do a good job in a business role if people think of you as the ‘enforcer’. Both legal and HR viewpoints are two perspectives amongst many and you must be seen as someone that people can consult and collaborate with. Of course, there are times when they trump everything but most of the time it is about balancing considerations.
An Australian (who also holds British citizenship), born in Greece, currently living in London and having called Athens, Chicago, London, Melbourne, and Sydney home along the way, Alex is well travelled and has a unique experience in a wide variety of legal issues, covering a wide range of jurisdictions. Holding a Bachelor of Finance and an LLB (Hons) from the University of Melbourne, Alex is admitted to practice law in Australia, England and Wales, and New York. Before joining RX in 2020, Alex had already been part of the RELX family for 7.5 years. At RELX she was General Counsel, Corporate and M&A, working alongside the corporate finance team and overseeing the legal aspects of all acquisitions and disposals across RELX. During her time with RELX her role expanded to include providing support on RELX corporate structure transactions and supporting the RELX treasury function on European and US debt issuances. She was also recognised as one of the “35 Women Under 35” in Britain by Management Today in 2015. Alex’s extensive global experience is invaluable for her role at RX, where she is responsible for uniting and overseeing the legal function across RX’s global business, creating a consistent and holistic approach and using her deep understanding in many legal areas to help RX navigate and continue to develop our business globally post-pandemic. In 2021, Alex’s enthusiasm for the culture and people of RX saw her take on additional responsibilities as the global lead for the HR function in RX. She leads the company’s Talent initiatives as well as being a vocal champion of its inclusion and diversity mission as joint executive sponsor for the Global Inclusion Council.

Chien-Ee Yeh
President, RX Asia Pacific
With the diversity of cultures in this region, we need to always make sure we listen hard to the needs of our customers and co-workers and embrace diversity and most importantly, learn from them. The world is beautiful simply because we are all different. As their needs evolve together with technology, so does RX. We need to evolve so that we remain relevant to the markets we are serving in order to exceed their expectations. We need to constantly create the “magic” for them to stay with us.
In a role where no two days are ever the same, Chien-Ee’s passion for variety together with his ability to actively listen and effortlessly connect with people from different cultures and countries, serves him well in his role as President for RX Asia Pacific. Graduating from the National University of Singapore’s School of Accountancy, Chien-Ee is also a Chartered Accountant in Singapore and CPA Australia. Before joining RX in 2010 as CFO RX APAC, Chien-Ee held finance leadership roles with Brady Corp and also Teradyne Inc for more than 15 years where, in addition to Singapore, he also spent 3 years working in Boston and another 4 in Shanghai. In the course of his professional life, Chien-Ee has also spent several years as an auditor/consultant for PwC and had a short stint as a producer at a TV station. In 2017, Chien-Ee became COO for RX APAC before taking on the role of President in 2019, overseeing our offices in China, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, and Australia. Driven by the great sense of purpose he feels when seeing the value RX creates for our customers and the impact on customers’ business growth, he is always pushing to exceed the expectations of our customers at the 100+ events that run across the APAC region. Chien-Ee is passionate about pursuing internal growth for the business and colleagues. He works closely with our joint venture partners to grow the business and is at his happiest when he’s a part of the professional growth of RX colleagues. When Chien-Ee isn’t busy managing the demands of seven RX offices, he loves spending time reading (physical!) books on comparative religion, meditation, history of Central/South Asia, languages, Chinese literature and WWII; travelling, especially to India; exercising – biking, running and badminton; and spending time with his family.

By nature and by experience, I highly value the power of the team. No matter how good and talented individuals may be, winning is always a team effort. Our activity has an incredible power to transform our clients’ business, and nothing is more magical than when people tell us how much our events have changed their life.
After more than 25 years in the events industry, the majority of them with RX, Michel is still fuelled by the excitement he feels at the opening of every event and when meeting with clients and partners. Having begun his career in a French electrical control-command company in South Africa, it was during his six-year consultancy period at Accenture (France) that Michel experienced his first large scale event, when he was assigned to Albertville for two years to work on the 1992 Winter Olympic Games. Prior to joining Miller Freeman France in 1998, Michel spent a short time at the Chamber of Commerce of Paris (CCIP) where he embraced the opportunity to expand his experience of the different organisational structures of the trade fair sector in France and in Europe. Following the acquisition of Miller Freeman by RX and subsequent formation of Reed Expositions France in 2001, Michel took on responsibility for the world-leading congress for heart disorder treatments, Cardiostim, and the management of an event portfolio which included Pollutec, a leading environmental exhibition. Over his year’s with RX, Michel has managed a portfolio of events in a variety of sectors including industry, food & hospitality, IT, fitness and healthcare. In 2012 Michel became managing director of Reed Expositions France before being promoted to CEO in 2014, with additional responsibility for RX Italy. In 2020 Michel also became CEO of Reed MIDEM. His passion for business strategy and change management saw him lead the merger of the two businesses, to form RX France, in April 2021. Michel loves the opportunity he has to work with diverse individuals both inside and outside of RX and is dedicated to creating sustainable relationships with all stakeholders in the event value chain, from suppliers and clients to professional associations. Having already had many years’ experience with 365 digital platforms in two sectors, franchise (acquired) and home decoration (launched), Michel is excited by the increasing focus on data and digital opportunities and hybrid event formats at RX. Michel has long been a member of the Board of Directors of the French Exhibition Association (UNIMEV) and is currently its Treasurer.

Michèle Tiley-Hill
Chief Financial Officer
I am regularly inspired in my role by award-winning Harvard Business School professor Francesco Gino’s book Rebel Talent and the lessons it shares on how breaking all the rules can inspire others to action, grow a business or build more meaningful relationships. I like to explore how rebellion can bring more success, joy and meaning to my life!
No stranger to entrepreneurial businesses where the pace of change is exceptional, Michèle’s experience has been invaluable at RX since she joined as CFO. A seasoned finance executive, Michèle trained at KPMG and developed her financial career in the sports, media and entertainment sectors. Prior to joining RX in 2017, Michèle was Global CFO at MEC (a founding partner of GroupM, WPP’s media investment group) where she had also held finance and commercial leadership roles in the EMEA region during her 11 years there. A qualified chartered accountant, Michèle was attracted to RX by the opportunity to combine the best of face to face with digital and data, something that has benefitted enormously from Michèle’s many years of hands-on commercial experience and success in leading financial and commercial operations in decentralized and complex structures. The combination of Michèle’s approachability, humility and empathy enables her to build and maintain relationships across our global business, while the real transparency and openness she brings to her leadership style builds trust and confidence in those around her. With an ability to laugh at herself and show vulnerability, Michèle encourages colleagues to share their views and diverse perspectives and is inspired by those that make a difference. Values that are all-important in her role as Co-Chair of the RX Global Inclusion Council. Michèle is also executive sponsor to the RX Operations Leadership Team and a member of the RELX Compliance Committee.
Nathalie Haxby
Global Head of Corporate Marketing and Communications
Nathalie Haxby
Global Head of Corporate Marketing and Communications
My favourite quote comes from the inspirational Michelle Obama: "Don't ever make decisions based on fear. Make decisions based on hope and possibility. Make decisions based on what should happen, not what shouldn't." And above all my guiding star is to be kind and honest, to always tell the truth to power and never be afraid to say ‘I don’t know’.
Nathalie has spent 30 years working in marketing and communications roles across media, advertising, music and event productions in London, Paris and New York. Continually enchanted and inspired by the diversity of her work and the diversity of her colleagues, she has an extraordinary drive to make things happen. Before joining RX, Nathalie spent 20 years at MEC and Wavemaker, working her way to Global Chief Marketing Officer and honing an impressive skillset in corporate marketing, internal communications, employee engagement, corporate reputation, brand identity, social and digital media strategies, design and production, conference production and content, press and publicity relations and copywriting. Nathalie joined RX in January 2020 as Global Head of Corporate Communications, during one of the most challenging periods in the history of the company and industry. Undeterred, she has quickly earnt respect from across our markets, supporting event teams and the wider business, prompting her promotion to Global Head of Corporate Marketing & Communications and the additional responsibility of overseeing the transformation of our brand from Reed Exhibitions to RX. Having spent 20 years predominantly in the advertising media industry, Nathalie is no stranger to periods of big digital transformation for businesses and what it takes to shift internal culture and behaviour, experience that is essential for RX’s current, rapid digital transformation. A dual French-British national, values driven and a strong sponsor of talent, especially female and emerging talent, Nathalie is also a strong advocate for inclusion and diversity, and sits on RX’s Global Race Committee.
Peter Lindsay
Chief Strategy Officer
Peter Lindsay
Chief Strategy Officer
One of my favourite quotes has always been Peter Ducker’s view that ‘culture eats strategy for breakfast’. In my opinion it is essential that we align our strategy, the bets we place, and the things we choose not to do, in the context of what we alone have an unfair ability to deliver, relentlessly year after year.
Every industry is required to embrace an increasing pace of change with energy and a willingness to take risks, and Peter has extensive experience across multiple sectors in thinking clearly amidst uncertainty and noise. As Chief Strategy Officer at Telegraph Media Group, he drove revenue and profit growth in the middle of seismic disruption to the industry, delivering transformations across multiple avenues simultaneously. He previously gained extensive experience at the global strategy consultancy, Bain & Company, across a range of disciplines, markets and challenges, from growth strategy to pricing to due diligence. He has a deep and long-lasting love of music; he was Senior Choral Scholar in the Choir of King’s College, Cambridge, and still plays several instruments. In 2021 he launched Curved, a multi-platform entertainment venture to ignite a new worldwide craze for classical music, and he remains a Trustee of the exciting Multi-Story Orchestra.

Our business thrives when we meet our customer’s needs, and Rachel has deep experience in making sure that a dedication to great customer experience - backed by data driven decision making - is at the forefront of everything we deliver.
In her thirteen years with RELX, Rachel has led business units delivering news, content, and technology to the legal industry at Law360 and LexisNexis, mostly recently in New York, after a starting stint in New Zealand and Australia.
The Exhibition space is a new adventure for Rachel, but she knows that her track record of navigating complex and rapidly changing environments, and fostering agility, innovation and a clear view of future direction will fit the bill.
Rachel likes to take part in driving positive change – speaking at Women in Leadership events and mentoring diverse and under-represented people whenever she can. Takeshi Tanaka

Acting as an entrepreneur and creating new exhibitions is the most exciting part of our job, and it is also my vocation. I am excited to keep launching new shows every year and growing them like my children!”
Being Entrepreneurial is a key RX strength, and there is no better example of someone who embraces this value than Takeshi, who, during his 20-year career with RX, has successfully launched and grown over 50 events across multiple industries, including communications, highly functional materials, energy, medical and food. As President, Takeshi oversees over 80 events annually across 34 industries, including jewellery, cosmetics, fashion, agriculture, medical, manufacturing, automotive, smart energy, IT, and AI. One of the key reasons for RX Japan’s success in launching new events from scratch every year is Takeshi’s management style and his passion for ensuring his colleagues stay creative, excited and motivated to try new things. There is no better professional feeling than hearing from a client we brought to an event who made new contacts and generated a new source of income for their business and community. A successful sale for us is one that leads to new opportunity for our customers.
With a passion for operating in international environments, Tim has lived and worked in the UK, USA, The Netherlands, Germany, Turkey, Hungary, China and SAR Hong Kong in a career that has seen him in roles for Tate & Lyle, British Airways, CWT and, since 2010, RX. Ask him his favourite location and he will say all of them.
