For the past 30 years, In-Cosmetics Global has served the personal care and cosmetic sector as a live event to engage, inspire and reveal what’s new. So when the team were unable to bring the industry face to face in Barcelona in April due to COVID-19, they transformed the event into a 3-day virtual innovation showcase, with impressive results.
“April is the time of the year when suppliers launch their new products to the industry. We wanted to maintain a sense of community within the cosmetics industry and still provide a platform for our exhibitors to launch their products and for speakers to share their expert insights” says in-cosmetics Global Event Manager Roziani Zulkifli.
“We approached exhibitors who were lined up to present seminars onsite and those planning to launch their new products in our popular Innovation Zone” adds Conference and Content Manager Warka Ghirmai. “These exhibitor webinars were complemented with marketing trend and scientific presentations given by independent experts, and delegates were able to pick and choose their sessions, and watch live or on demand, free of charge.”
The team were delighted with the high levels of industry engagement and feedback. Over 2,800 delegates tuned in to watch the 28 live webinars (25% of the number of visitors originally expected to attend the event later this year) and the customer satisfaction rating was 4.5 out of 5.
