PAX Australia 2019 has been named Best Exhibition at the Australian Event Awards, bringing its annual award tally to three!

The Australian Event Awards recognise the best events and strongest achievements in the Australian events industry each year. PAX Australia 2019 won ‘Best Exhibition, Trade or Consumer’, heading off a strong line up of finalists in what the judges described as a very high scoring year. It caps off an amazing 12 months for the event which also picked up Best Consumer Event and Best Event in Australia at the EEAA Awards.

For the first time, the Australian Event Awards 2020 were presented at a series of virtual ceremonies in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, with video link ups allowing the events industry across the nation to celebrate with the finalists and winners.

Of course, the PAX team know a thing or two about virtual events. Forced to go digital for 2020, the team collaborated with PAX US and their EGX colleagues in the UK in October to deliver PAX Online x EGX Digital. The event ran over 9 days, 24 hours a day, streaming 329 panels, showcasing 289 games and products in its virtual hall, and generating nearly 1 million chat messages.
