1. What advice would you give to your teenage self?

Keep working hard, you’re on the right track, you’re smarter than you give yourself credit for, and especially in a room of senior colleagues and experts, you belong.

2. What are you reading right now?

I’ve just bought How to Be an Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi, excited to dive into this soon! I’m also currently re-reading Life Visioning by Michael B. Beckwith, and The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself by Michael Alan Singer to refresh on the principles taught in these books. Highly recommended.

3. What recent podcast would you recommend?

I’ve been hearing a lot about the podcast called “How I Built This with Guy Raz” on NPR which dives into the stories behind some of the world’s best known companies. It sounds really inspiring. Going to give it a listen!

4. What does a perfect vacation look like for you?

Returning home to Hawaii, just seeing close family and friends, and blocking a portion of time for solitude.

5. What do you like most about your job?

As a social media manager, I really enjoy navigating the many layers of my job to drive results, from developing strategic social media/brand content recommendations for our event brands, to implementing these strategies year-round, working closely with the rest of our digital marketing and brand teams.

I’m also inspired by the other opportunities I’ve been able to pursue while in my current role. These include being a Global Race Relations Committee member, currently focusing on developing our global charities initiative, and being a Professor of International Marketing & Communication, teaching a course on Brand Content Strategy for Global Brands at the University of ISEG in Paris, France.

6. How do you see the future of events, post pandemic?

Seamlessly hybrid digital and physical event experiences for our clients globally.

7. What attracted you to work at RX Global?

The opportunity to learn more about the B2B sector across industries such as music, retail, innovation in real estate and more, and to combine my years of professional experience in live and digital events and international social media/ brand content management, all in one role.
