About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced salesperson to join our team and drive the growth of a pop culture event. This role is ideal for someone with strong relationships in the publishing industry, a passion for books, and a proven track record of sales success. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of publishing accounts, selling exhibit floor space, and developing sponsorship opportunities that meet client goals and enhance attendee experiences.
Responsibilities
Build and nurture relationships with key accounts, including publishers.
Sell exhibit space and sponsorship packages tailored to clients' needs.
Develop innovative sponsorship opportunities that align with ReedPop's mission and appeal to fans.
Collaborate with the Popverse team to develop and pitch digital products to publishers.
Maintain and grow revenue within an assigned territory of publishing clients.
Meet and exceed sales targets, with opportunities for additional compensation through performance-based incentives.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of sponsorship deliverables.
Stay informed about publishing industry trends to identify new opportunities and provide strategic recommendations.
Requirements
Have experience in sales, preferably within the publishing or events industry.
Possess a strong network and established relationships with publishing professionals.
Demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Have proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
Demonstrate creativity and strategic thinking to develop unique client solutions.
