About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as Operations Coordinator at RX (Reed Exhibitions) within our passionate Event Production and Operations team, reporting into our Senior Production Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on production work, operational coordination and customer interaction, and is looking to build a well‑rounded operations skillset.

This role supports a portfolio of projects by coordinating production schedules, documentation, customer communication and operational tasks. You’ll play a key role in keeping processes on track, ensuring high‑quality outputs, and supporting internal teams and external customers.

It’s a varied role that blends structured production work with day‑to‑day operational support, ideal for someone who enjoys detail, deadlines and working with multiple stakeholders.

This role is a full‑time contract until January 2027, covering parental leave based in Sydney St. Leonards office. We’re open to candidates from administration, customer service, publishing, production coordination, retail or hospitality backgrounds — prior events experience is welcome but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the production of printed and digital guides and materials

  • Manage schedules, briefs and production documentation end‑to‑end

  • Maintain master spreadsheets and ensure accurate, up‑to‑date records

  • Act as a key point of contact for customer and exhibitor enquiries

  • Support onsite and pre‑project preparations, including documentation

  • Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to meet deadlines

  • Assist with ad‑hoc operational tasks in a fast‑paced environment

Requirements

  • Have strong administration or coordination experience

  • Enjoy customer interaction and communicating with a wide range of stakeholders

  • Are highly organised, detail‑oriented and deadline‑driven

  • Are confident juggling multiple tasks and shifting priorities

  • Are comfortable working across systems and learning new processes

  • Have solid MS Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook

Experience in events, publishing, production, customer service, retail or hospitality is highly regarded, but not essential.
