The London Book Fair (LBF) has been running for over 50 years and over that time it has become an essential part of the international book trade calendar. It is now regarded as the pre-eminent Spring event of the publishing year. Exhibitors and visitors return year-on-year to develop relationships, gain insights, and set the tone for the year ahead.
 

About the Role
 

As a Product Marketing Manager, you will be instrumental in driving growth and market penetration for London Book Fair. This role entails crafting comprehensive marketing plans based on the EVP (Event Value Plan) and broader marketing strategies. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of our show and play a vital part in achieving our marketing objectives.
 

Responsibilities
 

  • Developing and executing a marketing plan for London Book Fair, aligning with the EVP and Portfolio marketing strategy.
  • Establishing market size, penetration, and identifying growth opportunities across the publishing industry and other creative content-based industries.
  • Proposing and implementing audience growth strategies.
  • Managing relationships with associations, analysts, influencers, media, and industry bodies.
  • Leading onsite at London Book Fair and representing our brand at external market/industry-specific events.
  • Collaborating on the creation of campaign activation plans, including defined outcomes, with the Marketing Content & Community Executive and the events PR agency.


Requirements
 

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, related field, or equivalent experience
  • Have exceptional understanding of marketing principles and audience growth strategies
  • Be proficient in establishing market size and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Be skilled in relationship management with external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate solid experience in sales alignment and account-based marketing.
  • Have exceptional communication and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to represent the brand effectively in various forums.
