JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Manage the preparation and submission of the financial reporting for our international subsidiaries. Manage the financial reporting consolidation and submission process, to the Corporate Finance Group at our Reed Exhibitions Global Corporate Headquarters based in the UK, including analysis and consolidation of financial results from RX Brazil and Mexico offices, as well as month-end, year-end and annual budget/strategic plan submissions. Deep technical analysis of tax calculation prepared in Brazil (PIS, COFINS, ISS, CSLL, IRRF) to guarantee appropriate consolidation of numbers for America’s region and compliant process regionally, as well as liaise with Global RELX Tax Director. Oversee the preparation and submission of consolidated financials, of the Brazil and Mexico business units, to Corporate Finance through Hyperion Financial Management (HFM). Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”) prior to submission to the UK Corporate Finance team. Partner with Corporate Finance to be first point of contact on all financial reporting related questions and resolve all open issues. Oversee the preparation of month-end reports that document major movements in Income Statement and Balance Sheet. Liaise with the Finance departments of international subsidiaries in order to provide guidance on how to prepare financial reporting packages, as well as to answer accounting related questions. Responsible for establishing and maintaining a compliance reporting schedule for the Americas region and reviewing with Americas regional management. Perform other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • 3 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
  • Also required is 3 years of experience: utilizing budgeting and forecasting to perform financial analysis of Profit & Losses for assigned events, to analyze show revenue and expenses, and to provide analysis on variances to event teams and senior management; planning events, including revenue and cost types associated with trade show events; leading and managing month-end close reporting for a financial analysis team to prepare month-end accrual entries, and to reconcile general ledger data to Hyperion consolidated financial and cash flow phasing reports; using Oracle and Hyperion to review general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries, support schedules as needed, and to discuss findings with event teams and senior management; as a lead business analyst through preparing financial models to assist senior management in analyzing business opportunities and/or risks; conducting financial management; using SmartView to extract data from Hyperion in order to perform revenue and cost analysis; utilizing Microsoft Excel including V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, and macros in order to create, modify, and forecast budget templates to be uploaded into Hyperion, as well as to analyze the revenue and cost data effectively.
  • Employee reports to Reed Exhibitions office in Norwalk, CT but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.

SALARY RANGE:

  • $80,000.00 to $105,900.00/year
