Do you hate passwords? RX celebrates World Password Day
World Password Day on 4th May saw RX celebrate with a hands-on 1Password clinic for staff in Richmond.
This user-friendly tool will be launched to all BUs in the coming months. Check the blog for your BU timetable and learn all about Secure Password Habits on our sharepoint page.
Why Passwords are important
Did you know over 24 billion user credentials can be found on cybercrime forums? And 81% of hacking-related breaches are caused by compromised passwords!
The NCSC says: "A password manager can store all your passwords securely, so you don’t have to worry about remembering them. This allows you to use unique, strong passwords for all your important accounts (rather than using the same password for all of them, which you should never do)."
What are the benefits of a Password Manager?
Using a password manager is easier than trying to remember multiple logins, and much safer than carrying written down passwords or re-using them.
Why is RX doing this?
RX Security believes that when we ask RXers to adopt a secure habit, we should make that habit easy. In the case of passwords, using a password manager is the surest way to make your password habits secure.
Why 1Password?
RX Security reviewed several options for password management. 1Password was the most user-friendly and has the most robust approach to security. Learn more here. The offer also comes with a free Family offer allowing you to enrol a personal accounts plus up to 4 of friends or family members.
