About the Role

This role will focus on the acquisition and retention of customers for ILTM Latin America and ILTM North America.

As a Sales Executive at RX Global, you are at forefront of driving business sales and creating meaningful connections with our customers. Your mission is to understand their unique needs and challenges and provide tailored solutions that deliver exceptional value. With a focus on value-based selling, you are instrumental in helping our customers achieve their business objectives through our world-class events and market leading digital tools. You will become a trusted advisor to your clients, sharing expertise and insight that will bring RX closer to the customer decision making process.  

 

 

Responsibilities:

15% of your time/responsibility 

Commercial Growth:  

  • Develop an understanding of the shows market, its vendors and needs. 

  • Build long-term relationships with customers, understanding their businesses and marketing needs, and be seen as part of the industry. 

  • Ability to sell to senior level prospects and customers, keeping a good balance between face-to-face and telephone selling to achieve new business and increase revenues from existing customers. 

  • Floor plan management and allocation of stand space in conjunction with the Sales Team Manager. 

  • Effective management of CRM Campaigns across multiple events. 

  • Accurately report progress through weekly sales reports and forecast revenue projections allowing the Sales Team Manager forecast accordingly. 

  • Sell exhibition space, digital and sponsorship to both current and new exhibitors over the telephone and face to face where required 

  • Attend Reed Exhibitions events and competitor events (both domestically and internationally) thereby maintaining relationships, expanding the database and prospecting for new business. 

  • Work closely with the Sales Team Manager to deliver the sales plan and sales targets. 

  • You use data to inform and inspire decision making and to build insight into client / industry performance.  

  • You are a driving force in the selling a suite of products to help client achieve objectives including participation at events, market leading digital products, sponsorship & branding opportunities.   

  • You develop an understanding of the show markets, their vendors and needs and become industry experts.  

 

25% of your time/responsibility

New Business Acquisition:  

  • With a growth mindset, you understand the importance of attracting new companies to participate at events and engage with our brands.  

  • You are confident to attend competitor, industry, and trade association events (both domestically and internationally), with the aim to obtain industry and market intelligence, maintaining, and creating new relationships, expanding the database, and prospecting for new business.  

  • Identify and engage with potential exhibitors and sponsors, leveraging existing networks and building new relationships. 

20% of your time/responsibility

Customer Optimisation:  

  • You are a trusted advisor for clients – sharing expert knowledge, industry best practice, advise on wider B2B/Trade strategy all to inspire customers to think beyond what’s possible.   

  • You excite clients in both face to face and digital environments and are skilled at multithreading relationships with key partners to understand customer’s value drivers across economic, functional, emotional, and symbolic dimensions.  

  • With effective use of data, you present the value of participating at our events, identify opportunities for clients and increase average order value.   

20% of your time/responsibility 

Collaboration:  

  • At your core you are a team player. With strong communication skills you are committed to being part of an inclusive and safe environment.  

  • To deliver exceptional value for your customers you understand the importance of working across functions including operations, marketing, finance, and brand leadership   

  • Naturally engaging, you work with productively with the relevant Show teams with whom you are working 

  • You skilfully manage CRM Campaigns across multiple events. 

  • You ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations in all sales activities and promote ethical business practices  

10% of your time/responsibility 

Performance & Development:  

  • You are accountable for ensuring that all essential customer information and interactions are recording accurately in Salesforce. Maintain a robust and accurate pipeline which can be relied upon for accurate reporting to key stakeholders.

10% of your time/responsibility 

Industry Expert:  

  • Be an industry expert with specific knowledge of macro and micro trends across geographies/industries. 

  • As an expert in delivering best in class exhibitions you stay ahead of future trends and emerging technologies, and confidently represent RX Global at industry events 

  • Attend global competitor events thereby maintaining relationships, expanding the database and prospecting for new business

Qualifications/Experience 

  • Experience within tourism and hospitality industry is desirable
  • Exhibition/Media sales experience is desirable
  • Have Fluent English skills
